Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to introduce to judges the new measure of disciplinary liability — a decrease in the qualifying class. The head of state said at the solemn meeting dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Supreme court, reports TASS.
“It is proposed to introduce a new measure of disciplinary responsibility of judges — downgrading of qualification class, of course, [we need] to define the criteria clearly separating judicial error from the disciplinary violation,” the President said.
He also noted the need for additional powers of the assistant judges, for example, the preparation of the draft judicial decisions, moreover, that “it has long been the practice.”
Another critical moment Putin has called for the introduction of information technologies, including automated distribution of cases among judges and mandatory audio recording of meetings.
For judges class — the same as military rank for the military or a class rank of state civil servants. Thus according to the current legislation and the military and civil servants there is a measure of disciplinary punishment, as the reduction in rank or rank — as the penultimate warning before dismissal.
Thus, the President’s proposal essentially eliminates the existing disciplinary discrimination — penalties from the judges to the degree less than that of the officials and the military. The judges of the six qualifying classes: extra, first, second, third, fourth and fifth.
