Coaching staff of Russian national ice hockey team along with head coach Oleg Znarka received an invitation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to participate in the Olympic games 2018 in Pyeongchang. This was reported on the website of the Federation of hockey of Russia (FHR).

According to the press service for the Olympic games of 2018 admitted medical, administrative and technical staff in full strength. Thus, Znarok, Harijs Vitolins and other coaches of the national team of Russia will be able to lead the hockey players in Pyeongchang.

Defenders of the national team of Russia Anton Belov, Alexey Beregazzo and Mikhail Naumenkov and forwards Sergei Plotnikov and Valeri Nichushkin is not received from the IOC invitation to the Olympic games 2018. In this regard, the FHR began large-scale negotiations on the inclusion of athletes in the final list.

The Games also will not be able to participate biathlete Anton Shipulin, skier Sergey Ustyugov, short-tremist Viktor Antonov and a number of Russian skaters.
