US disown the supply of MANPADS to Syria

The USA had not transferred to its allies in Syria, man-portable anti-aircraft missiles. About the Agency RIA Novosti said the representative of the Pentagon Eric Pahon.

“The U.S. is not supplied to partner forces in Syria any weapons of the type “earth-air” and do not intend to do so in the future, said Pahan. — U.S. operations are geographically focused on the ongoing fighting against ISIS (“Islamic state” banned in Russia) in Eastern Syria.”

He added that “Washington will appreciate the information that Russian su-25 were shot down from MANPADS to ensure the safety of our coalition partners”.

Russian su-25 was shot down on 3 February in the area of de-escalating the Syrian province of Idlib. According to the statement of the defense Ministry, the pilot managed to report that his car was shot down and ejected. Later it turned out that the pilot gave battle to the terrorists, firing personal weapons.
