The culture Ministry of Belarus has issued a rental certificate of the British Comedy “Death to Stalin”. This local portal TUT.by told the head of Department of cinematography of the Ministry Alexander Rydvan.
“In the course of viewing the internal experts of the expert Commission of the Ministry of culture revealed in the film “Death of Stalin” the facts of violation of Belarusian laws”, — he said.
The official added that the administration considered it unnecessary to send the picture in the Republican expert Commission on prevention of propaganda of pornography, violence and cruelty.
In Minsk, the rolled tape will begin on 8 February.
Earlier in January the “Death of Stalin” was never shown in Russia. The Ministry of culture’s decision was explained by the fact that the film found “do not distribute the materials.”
Prior to this, the lawyers of the Ministry of culture called the head of Department Vladimir Medinsky to ban the screening of “Death of Stalin” because of signs of extremism, which was discovered in the feed. According to the authors, the film “aimed at inciting hatred and enmity, humiliation of Russian (Soviet) people, the propaganda of inferiority of a person on grounds of their social and national belonging”.
