Budapest declared the necessity to send the OSCE mission in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine after the attack on the headquarters of the “Society of Hungarian culture of Transcarpathia” in Uzhgorod. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Hungary.
“We hope that the Ukrainian authorities as soon as possible to find the attackers and find out their motives. We also hope that the Ukrainian authorities guarantee the safety of the Transcarpathian Hungarians,” — said in a statement.
The text notes that the attack on the headquarters confirms the correctness of the initiative of Budapest to introduce the OSCE observers not only in the Eastern part of Ukraine, but also in the West.
The arson of the building of the “Society of Hungarian culture of Transcarpathia” in Uzhgorod, occurred on the morning of Sunday, February 4. Then unknown persons had thrown a Molotov cocktail, but the fire managed to be avoided. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kyrylenko stated in his Twitter that “directly related” to attack Russia.
