Russian law enforcement agencies overcame maniacs, was operating on the streets, and “strangled street crime against children.” This was stated on the departmental Board, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) Alexander Bastrykin, reports “Interfax” on Tuesday, February 6.
“Killers on the street anymore, but they moved to the family, and in foster families”, — he said.
Bastrykin recalled that six years ago was introduced by the law on decriminalization of beatings and TFR spoke out against this initiative. “Expelled, as I understand the subject of criminal law? Here, we are already reaping violence”, — said the head of the investigative Department.
Now, he said, should go back to this topic.
In December last year it was reported that the inhabitant of Serpukhov, whose husband cut off hands previously contacted the police on the fact of physical violence and threats from a spouse, but the district only spent preventive conversation on the phone.
In February 2017, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the law on decriminalization of the battery. According to the document, the act committed for the first time, will be regarded as an administrative offence. And in the case of relapse, is already a criminal offence. Beatings are considered actions caused the pain, but not entailed frustration of health or loss of earning capacity.
