Gazprom in 2017 increased its share on the European market from 33 per cent to 34.7 per cent. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the management Board of the company Alexander Medvedev, reports TASS.
“Market share “Gazprom” continues to grow. The supply grew faster than the market, the market share of Europe has increased to a record high of 34.7 percent,” — said Medvedev at a meeting with investors in new York.
The existing export routes of transportation of gas make it possible to flexibly respond to changes in demand, said a top Manager. As a result, market share of the company in the future “can not only survive, but also to increase,” Medvedev said.
In November 2017, the head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller said that in 2017 the export of gas will reach 192 billion cubic meters, which will be an absolute record.
Last year, the company increased gas production by 12.4 percent, to 471 billion cubic meters. The supply of fuel to Europe increased by 8 percent to of 193.6 billion cubic meters.
According to “Gazprom export” about 80 percent of the supply from Russia has on Western Europe, 20 percent to the Central European States.
