The Minister of labour and social protection Maxim Topilin has explained the fall in the real incomes of Russians as the informal sector. He was surprised by the fact that real salaries are rising and real income is not. His words RIA Novosti reported.
“Last year, real wages increased more than 3 percent, the year before by 0.8 percent. And real incomes in the past year, and the year before still lower. This has never happened, usually all the same real wages, which constitutes the bulk of the income, it is for pulling the growth of real incomes”, — explained the Minister.
He noted that the Agency relied on the growth of real income at the end of 2017, but this did not happen.
Topilin believes that the most likely cause in the drop in real incomes of Russians lies in the reduction of the shadow sector of the economy. “I think it is because we have the shadow sector, which is a provider through the cost of statistical accounting of income dynamics, here it just starts to curl,” said labor Minister.
The importance of real income growth and the fight against poverty Wednesday, February 7, said Deputy Prime Minister for social issues Olga Golodets. According to her, poverty is the main obstacle for the economic growth of the country.
