The German MPs are offended by the Ambassador of Ukraine and refused to go to Kiev

The German deputies in the Crimea, advised the Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany to learn diplomacy after allegations of “educational talks” with their leadership. Their answer quoted the RIA Novosti news Agency the state Council of the Peninsula on Wednesday, 7 Feb.

“Nobody has the right to talk to us like that. The words of the Ambassador of Ukraine undiplomatic, Mr. Miller should learn diplomacy from the Europeans, especially in Germany,” — said the Deputy of the Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from the party “Alternative for Germany” Helmut, Caufield.

He confirmed that the parliamentarians have no cover letter, but “as citizens of free Germany and the deputies,” they “have the right to go where I see fit.” The purpose of the visit, Caufield called the study of the real situation on the Peninsula. The delegates refused to go to Kiev at the invitation of the Ambassador, because under the current leadership of Ukraine such a trip impossible.

Earlier on 7 February, the Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany Andrey Melnik told how “right brain” leadership of the faction “Alternatives for Germany” in the Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia “for the criminal voyage to the Crimea, their adventurous colleagues.”

Members of three regional parliaments from the party are in the Crimea from February 3. In their program — meeting with head of the Republic, leaders of national-cultural associations and “partnerships”. February 5, the Prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (part of the General Prosecutor’s office) filed against German parliamentarians a criminal case on violation of the order of entry into the occupied territory of the country. In Berlin deputies to punish did not, because their visit is a private trip.

Crimea became part of Russia after the March 2014 referendum in which the majority of inhabitants of the region have supported such a decision. Kiev refused to recognize these results and call the Peninsula occupied territory. The referendum is not recognized by the Western countries.
