Two employees of a closed nuclear center in Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod region caught on trying to mine cryptocurrency on a supercomputer. On Thursday, February 8, reports SecurityLab.

Employees in her position had access to the car. The computer was not connected to the network, so they themselves connect it to the Internet. The security system of the facility has provided data about this effect in the FSB.

It is noted that now men are under house arrest.

All-Russian research Institute of experimental physics (RFNC-VNIIEF) in Sarov engaged in the development and production of nuclear weapons. The supercomputer at the centre put into operation in 2011. It has a capacity of 1 petaflops. Until 2020 it is planned to increase to 1 exaflops.
