Russian curlers lost to team USA in the opening game of the Olympic games-2018

Olympic athletes from Russia curlers Alexander krushelnitsky and Anastasia Bryzgalov lost to the Americans by Becky and Matt Hamilton in the debut game at the Olympics-2018 in South Korea’s Pyeongchang. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The game is in the discipline of double-mixed doubles ended with the score 9:3 in seven ends. Later on Thursday, the Russians will play against Norway, the competition will start at 14:05 GMT.

In 2016 the Russian national team on Curling became the winner of the world championship of Curling in the mixed doubles. Then Alexander krushelnitsky, Anastasia Bryzgalova, Daniel Goryachev and Mary Duyunova with a score of 5:4 beat the team of Sweden.

In December 2017, the IOC suspended the national team of Russia from participation in the Olympics in Pyeongchang for violating anti-doping rules. On Games there will arrive the command “Olympic athletes of Russia”, which will act under the Olympic flag. At the opening ceremony it will incur selected by the organizing Committee of the volunteer.

The opening ceremony of the Olympic games will be held February 9, the event will conclude on February 25.
