Russian biathlete Anton Babikov commented on the performance in the sprint at the Olympic games in Pyeongchang. The word athlete leads

“The track was a normal feeling. I’m happy with the speed, although of course it’s not perfect. For the first day, after a long wait and such obstacles it’s good. If not for the mistakes, it could very well be beaten today,” said Babikov.

The veteran also told about the problems in shooting: “Finished to zero with the same wind. You need to know what were the mistakes — only I have to explain something. I understand that the amendment is doing is useless, because the wind, like the sighting”.

The athlete expressed the hope for a better performance in other races. “For me the main race — the individual, where I have more chances than in the sprint. I hope you will be able to return their fire. Well — mixed relay we will fight in every race,” he said.

Earlier, on February 11 Babikov and Matvey Eliseev remained without medals in the sprint race. They made nine mistakes on two, finishing in 57th and 83rd place. The gold medal was won by the German biathlete Arnd Peiffer silver the Czech Michal Krcmar, bronze — Italian Dominik Windisch.

Games are held in Pyeongchang from 9 to 25 February.
