The former head of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, Grigory Rodchenkov said on the American television channel CBS about the geography of doping violations. According to estimates Rodchenkova, over twenty countries are actively using illegal drugs in the training of athletes.
“You can continue to believe that sport will ever be clean. But that is our nature. We are sinful. Sports nothing to do with it. There are always 10-15 percent of incorrigible people. Nothing can be done. They are crooks by nature. How in the world doping countries? 20. That’s for sure,” Rodchenkov said.

The WADA investigation, based on the testimony of Rodchenkova, resulted in the removal of the Russian team from participation in the Olympics. Participation in the Games-2018 will only accept athletes who have received an invitation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The “purity” of the athlete is not the final criterion of the admission of leaders of the Russian team Viktor Antonov, Anton Shipulin and Ustyugov Sergei have not received invitations without explanation. None of them had ever suspected anti-doping rule violation.
