The General Director of the Ukrainian state concern “Ukroboronprom” Roman Romanov has decided to leave his post. This is stated on the website of the Association.
“His resignation I wrote last year. I hope the President will support my decision” — says Romanov.
“We’ve won. We are 80 000 employees of “Ukroboronprom”, which turned the largest Association of defence industry of Ukraine an effective mechanism that in the worst times gave our defenders a weapon that helped them to save the country,” said the Manager.
27 Dec-Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman initiated the dismissal of the head of “Ukroboronprom” for failure to comply with the instructions of the government on repayment of debts on wages on the part of the state concern “GP “Nikolaev shipbuilding plant””. Then, reminiscent of “Interfax-Ukraine”, Romanov refused the resignation and said that the current situation requires a “quality of government decisions, rather than finding scapegoats.”
