Two passenger trains collided in the Austrian town of Niklasdorf (Styria). About it reports on Monday, February 12, Steiermark-News.
According to the publication, in the result of incident killed at least one person. Another 22, including three children, were injured. All of them were taken to hospitals.
As noted, for unknown reasons, there was a side impact of traveling on the adjacent tracks of trains, one of them went off the rails. The details of the incident are being investigated.
The police reported that one of the trains was international (EuroCity) and followed from the Austrian city of Graz in German Saarbrucken, the second local commuter. Currently on the site of emergency rescuers work, the movement on the line suspended.
In December 2017 in the U.S. state of Washington near the Seattle train at full speed derailed and fell on the highway. Three people were killed.
In the same month in the German town of Meerbusch faced passenger and freight trains. About the victims was not reported.
