The frame: the film “Away»
The writers Guild of the USA announced the winners of the annual film awards WGA Awards. The prize for best screenplay went to the horror film “Away” Jordan Saw, noted on the organization’s website.
“Away” talks about meeting a black photographer with rich parents of his white girlfriend. The visit turns into a fight for survival when it turns out that the representatives of “high society” — an inveterate racist. Horror has become the most popular band in 2017 according to the version of Rotten Tomatoes.
The award for best adapted screenplay was awarded to the film “Call me his name.” Drama about homosexual love seventeen-year-old Italian Elio and a young American scholar Oliver based on the novel by Andre Aciman 2007. In December, critics of Los Angeles recognized the “Call me her name” the best movie of 2017.

The writers also noted the “handmaid’s Tale” won the nomination “Best script in a drama series” and “Vice-President”, which was awarded in the category “Best Comedy series”. A favorite among animated films was the Time’s Arrow episode of the fourth season of “Horse Bojuka”.
