The presidential candidate from the Communist party Pavel Grudinin tied confusion with opening and closing accounts in foreign banks with the tax. He was commenting on the claim of the head of the Central election Commission Ella Pamfilova, the “Free press” on Tuesday, February 13.
The candidate reported that his entrusted person gave a letter to the CEC, which stated that all the accounts he gave at the beginning of February. However, according to Grudinina, the tax Inspectorate took the time to process information. “So working with us tax Inspectorate, submit data for 5 days, I’m not to blame”, — he stressed.
On the eve of the Deputy Chairman of the CEC Nikolai Bulaev said that the Central election Commission has no information about the two foreign accounts Grudinina. Pamfilova advised the applicant to quickly provide to the CEC the information on closing his accounts, “to place all points over “i””.
As reported on January 12, Grudinin within one day submitted to the CEC documents, which announced the presence and absence of his accounts in foreign banks. From the information available on the website of the CEC should be that the candidate didn’t use any foreign financial instruments and had accounts at the national Bank of Liechtenstein securities.
Grudinin was second after the LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky was officially registered as a candidate for the highest office. Both of them as representatives of the parliamentary parties are exempted from collecting signatures.
