In the UK employees charity organization Oxfam accused of having sex with a minor, Euronews reports.
Volunteers allegedly invited the girls prostitutes in hotels and private villas, which the organization was shot in Haiti during a charity mission in the aftermath of the earthquake in 2011.
That during the humanitarian mission officers picked up prostitutes, was known before. However, the Commission regulating the activities of charitable organizations in his report explained that he did not know that it was about sex with minors.
Representatives of Oxfam, in an official statement confirmed that sexual services staff provided children, calling it unacceptable. The organization began an internal investigation.
According to the publication, seven people were dismissed from the organization for the results of an internal investigation.
Oxfam is an international Association of 17 organizations fighting poverty around the world. It was founded in the British city of Oxford in 1942 as the Oxford Committee for famine relief. The organization is funded by the government, but private individuals donate regularly.
