Two-time Olympic champion Dmitry Vasilyev summed up the results of the performance of the Russian biathletes in the individual race at the Olympic games in Pyeongchang. His words leads to “Sport-Express”.

“Untrained people went to the Olympic games is not clear why. But in this state to go to the Olympics is impossible. If you feel that is not ready — nothing to dishonor the country. This is my opinion, they can have their own — once they are gone,” — said Vasilyev.

The Olympic champion also criticized the biathlete Tatyana Akimova: “the Athletes do not have the right to speak in the public field that supposedly the coaches are not patronizing them. Why the sports community to initiate? Why offend those coaches who so bend over backwards”.

Vasiliev felt that the Game needed to bring their juniors. “To them by the following year, the men compete among men need to start! What if they proved themselves? It is quite possible. What’s the point to carry “the dead”, which obviously will take 30-50 places?”, he said.

Russian biathletes failed performance in the individual race at the Olympics in Pyeongchang. The best result for the four athletes to the Games, became 15-th place Akimova in the individual race.
