The head of the delegation of Olympic athletes from Russia (OAR) Stanislav Pozdnyakov has apologized to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for violations of Russian athletes anti-doping rules. About it the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.

“I apologized and athletes and IOC members for violations, all of you know, they are not of a systemic nature. I hope colleagues in the IOC is also aware. This is negligence, not intent. In conclusion, I thanked the colleagues with whom we worked seriously so that athletes can perform at these Games. And I said that the best reward will be the return of the national flag and the return of the ROC,” — said Pozdnyakov.

Previously on 24 February the court of arbitration for Sport disqualified Russian bobsleistku Hope Sergeyev, doping test which confirmed the substance in the body athletes the banned substance of Trimetazidine.
