Russian snowboarder American origin Vic Wilde admitted that he experienced negative emotions during performances at the Olympic games in Pyeongchang. About this athlete wrote in his Instagram.

“I couldn’t imagine that this doping scandal so much affected me, and I was wrong. Was not the former sunk to the games. That was — shame, humiliation, and feeling outcast. I will never agree with the punishment handed down by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). They attacked only those who play, athletes,” wrote Wilde.

Earlier, on 28 February, the IOC restored the rights of the Russian Olympic Committee, although two days ago, the organization refused to do so because of the two positive doping samples taken from Russian athletes that competed at the Olympics.

The Russian team was barred from participating in the Olympic games 2018. In Pyeongchang went only athletes who received an invitation from the IOC. They were forbidden to use national symbols and awarded a special status of “Olympic athletes of Russia”.

On Games 2018 Wilde remained without medals. In Sochi, the snowboarder became a double Olympic champion.
