The head of state, which is running for a new term, has the statutory benefits, said the head of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova. Her words leads RIA Novosti on Friday, February 2.
“The maximum use of the opportunities offered by the law, — all this is doing is natural practice, and we have it more strict, more strict than even in many countries with developed what they call some of our experts, democracy”, — said the CEC head.
So she commented on the complaint of one of the parties with respect to the agitation component of the President’s address to the Federal Assembly on 1 March.
Pamfilova said that the agitation in the speech of Vladimir Putin was not. “The launch of annual letters is the presidential powers established by the Constitution. (…) The President of the Russian Federation — a person who holds a public office, he doesn’t have to go on vacation during the election campaign”, — quotes her words TASS.
On 6 February, the CEC registered Putin as a candidate for the highest office, he participated in elections as the independent candidate.
