A former freestyler and Executive Director of B2ten Dominique Gauthier suggested to award canadian skier Alex Harvey as the winner of the Olympic games in Pyeongchang. His words are quoted by the CBC.

“In place of Own the Podium (funding of canadian athletes — approx. “Of the”) I would consider the results of the Russian athletes. When I introduce our donors to the medal list that will include Harvey. I want to put a note next to his result that he was regarded as a medal,” said Gauthier.

Functionary felt speech Harvey is phenomenal. “We can’t assume that he did not meet expectations. It was a success. The Russians, who beat him to it, wasn’t even supposed to take part in the competition,” he said.

On Games 2018 Harvey took fourth place in the marathon — he walked around the Russian skiers Alexander Bolshunov and Andrew Stalls, won silver and bronze.

At the Olympics in Korea, Russian athletes competed under the Olympic flag and the special status of “Olympic athletes of Russia”. The Russians won two gold, six silver and nine bronze medals.
