The British foreign Secretary Boris Johnson revealed details of the boycott of the world Cup in Russia. His words leads RIA Novosti.

“We have no plans to try to boycott the world Cup through England. Things first, decide the Football Association, on the other hand, no one wants to punish the English fans,” said Johnson.

The foreign Minister also explained that the boycott applies only to high-ranking officials of England: “we are Talking about the fact that neither the Ministers nor the members of the Royal family will not be present. Similar measures adopted by several other countries”.

In early March, the UK government has lowered the level of delegation to the world Cup due to allegations of Russia’s involvement in the poisoning of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal. They were joined by the Icelandic authorities, who refused to come at the world Cup. The President of Poland Andrzej Duda decided not to participate in the opening ceremony of the tournament. The governments of Sweden and Denmark are also considering the boycott of the world Cup.
