Putin urged to stop stuffing through social networks

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that after a fire in the Kemerovo through social networks are stuffing in order to sow panic and distrust. His words on Wednesday, March 28, RIA Novosti reported.

“We see that, unfortunately, are stuffing through social networks, including from abroad, in order to sow panic, to sow distrust, to push people together. This, of course, cannot be allowed under any circumstances”, — Putin said.

Such a statement he made during a meeting with the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin and the head of the Ministry of health Veronika Skvortsova. They reported on the measures taken in the framework of the elimination of the consequences of fire and investigating its causes.

A day earlier, on March 27, Putin held in Kemerovo unplanned meeting with citizens who have expressed doubts about the reliability of data on those killed in the fire. They came to the morgue of forensic medical examination to verify the list of students enrolled in bodies and make sure that the numbers match the published data. The President promised the crowd that the investigation will be conducted thoroughly, and urged not to believe the often inaccurate information that is spread in social networks.

Fire in four-storey shopping centre, “Winter cherry” in Kemer occurred on Sunday. The fire, according to the latest figures, killed 64 persons, 41 of them children. Environment in the country declared a day of mourning.
