The group of companies Rambler&Co Alexander Mamut has acquired online cinema Okko. The transaction was cash-strapped: owned the project Era Capital Catherine Lapshin will receive a share in the media holding, announced in the Rambler.

According to “Kommersant”, the conclusion of the agreement confirmed and Lapshin.

It is noted that the accession of Okko will allow Rambler to create cross-media ecosystem, covering all screens: mobile, computer, cinema, and Smart TV. Thus, the group of companies will be the largest distributor of content online and offline with a common loyalty program.

Previously, Rambler announced the merger with cinemas “Sinema Park” and “Formula Kino”, and the publishing group “Azbuka-Atticus”. In this regard, the holding underwent personnel changes.

Okko launched in 2009. Cinema works without advertising and offers users the subscription or purchase of individual films. After the transaction, this model will continue.
