Azerbaijan is dissatisfied with the quality of Russian weapons, according to the publication based in Poland, the newspaper “Belaruskaya Prauda”. This drew the attention of the military blog bmpd.
The Belarusian edition, citing its own sources, said that at the end of 2017 during a closed meeting of the Russian-Azerbaijani Commission on military-technical cooperation in Baku raised the issue and paid particular attention to the implementation of Russia’s obligations to supply military equipment to Azerbaijan in the framework of implemented and existing contracts.
It is noted that the meeting expressed dissatisfaction with the terms of the contracts for the supply of T-90S, BMP-3, BTR-82, SAU “Msta-s”, MLRS “Smerch”, “tor-M2” and other Russian weapons. The main complaint was “non-compliance of supplied equipment specified in the contracts, lists of technical equipment, lack of technical documentation, the failure of some weapons because of the obvious factory defects, and the lack of parts for maintenance”.
In addition, the Azerbaijani side noted that the missiles for the MLRS “Smerch” does not explode when fired, the ammunition to the machine guns of the BTR-82A does not get to the goal, and Mi-35 helicopters permanently fixed breakage of thermocouples, which do not allow to start the engine. Also the malfunction of the onboard equipment does not work properly of the system of automatic fire and firing missiles “Attack-M” and “Storm-In”.
