The state company “Post of Russia”, I remembered the intention to start delivering goods using unmanned aerial vehicles. First such delivery, the company plans to implement on 2 April in Buryatia. This is stated in the message of the government, which is at the disposal “of the Tape.ru”.
Historical for the Russian shipping company to be held in Ulan-Ude. The drone will deliver freight from city to Tarbagatai village of Tarbagatay district of Buryatia. The start of the flight for post offices in 105 district of Ulan-Ude.
“This is the first flight for the delivery of postal cargo with the help of UAVs in the history of “Mail of Russia”. In the future they plan to use to deliver goods to remote areas in the regions of the country,” — said in a release from the regional government.
In a symbolic launch drone delivery will be attended by the head of Buryatia Alexey Tsydenov and the General Director of “Mail of Russia” Nikolay Podguzov, who agreed that the first unmanned launch will be held in Buryatia, at an investment forum in Sochi.
The intention to start the delivery of goods using drones “Mail of Russia” declared in 2016, the company argued that the test flights will begin in 2017. The Russian company lags far behind the us online retailer Amazon, who first delivered the goods by a drone in December 2016.
