Observation of the lives of the fans of the teams of the National hockey League (NHL) showed that watching the matches at the TV or at the stadium increases the incidence of heart attacks. This was reported on the website of the Cardiology Institute of Montreal.
Canadian researchers found a link between worsening of cardiovascular diseases and important hockey matches. To do this, they compared the statistics of the hospitals calendar of wins hockey clubs. It turned out that the risk of heart attacks in men greatly increases after wins of their favorite team, especially if it’s a home game.
The researchers also concluded that the most brilliant victories of the club increase the likelihood of heart attack by 40 percent. And increased risk of diseases cause of victory and not the defeat of their favorite team.
In early March, the founder of football club “Chambly” Walter Luzi died a few hours after the team’s victory. “Chambly” for the first time in history reached the semi-finals of the French Cup.
