Entrepreneur and head of the mini football club “Politeh”, competing in the top division of Russian football, were detained in St. Petersburg. On Friday, March 30, reports a press-service GU MVD of Russia for Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region.

Detainees suspected of multimillion-dollar fraud with the state subsidy when purchasing sports uniforms and equipment. According to investigators, the damage amounted to six million roubles.

“According to investigators, the club Director together with CEO of a commercial organization are suspected of having provided for receiving state subsidies forged documents on the purchase of sports uniforms and equipment. In fact, they were not purchased”, — stated in the message.

Criminal case as regards 4 articles 159 of the criminal code (“Fraud”). Both suspects are detained under article 91 UPK the Russian Federation, the question on election of a measure of restraint.

In turn, an informed source told “Interfax” that a defendant in a criminal case of fraud was the Director of FK Politekh Cyril Mirzoyan.

FK Politekh (previously known as “Polytechnic”) is a Russian Futsal (mini soccer) club from Saint Petersburg founded in 1995. At the moment the team plays in the highest division of the Russian championship — Fonbet-Superleague. According to Futsal Association of Russia, Mirzoyan is the Director General of FC “Polytech” in 2010.
