Russia will send 50 British diplomats

Russia intends to send 50 employees of the British Embassy in response to Britain’s decision to expel Russian diplomats. This was stated by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, reports TASS.

“The difference between the number of Russian and British diplomats — more than 50 people”, — has explained Zaharova such a decision.

On the eve of the Russian foreign Ministry has announced the imminent adoption of a reflex action against Western countries that expelled Russian diplomats after the poisoning of ex-GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia in Salisbury in the UK. Zakharova noted that Western States have begun “absolutely total and already no one is hiding the real Russophobic campaign.”

Skripal and his daughter Julia was discovered unconscious in a Park in British Salisbury on 4 March. Later it turned out that they were poisoned nervously-paralytic substance of the Novice class. London has accused Moscow sent 23 employees of the Russian Embassy and demanded that the other European countries to do the same. The Kremlin denies all charges.

The United States announced the expulsion of 60 employees of diplomatic missions of Russia on March 26. Also, the country will close its Consulate General in Seattle. On the expulsion of Russian diplomats also announced Australia, Ukraine, Canada and more than ten EU countries.
