More than eight thousand NGOs will compete for presidential grants

More than nine thousand projects entered in 2018, the competition of presidential grants for non-profit organizations (NPOs). It is reported TASS with reference to the results of the meeting of the expert Council of the presidential Fund grants.

In the end, to the stage of independent examination was made more than 8.3 thousands of jobs. “By decision of the Council, 738 projects were not allowed to further consideration due to the identified violations”, — stated in the message. Another 80 projects were withdrawn by the applicants.

The Fund noted that the percentage of projects that do not meet the conditions of the contest, declined compared to last year. In 2017 in the first contest before the examination was eliminated 10.4% of the participants, the second is 8.9 percent. This year such projects was eight percent, while most of them were filed on the last day.

In the United expert Council of the contest consist of 802 people, it experts, public figures and scientists.

The presidential grants are allocated to non-profit organizations (NPOs) that are involved in the development of civil society institutions implement the first social projects. The head of state, by order, determine annually the total amount of subsidies for grants, as well as operator or operators who hold a competition among NGOs for funds.
