Apple and Samsung have stopped the seven-year patent dispute

Apple Inc and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd have settled a patent dispute that lasted seven years. About it reports CNN TV channel.

The parties agreed out of court, the details of the agreement were not disclosed. Both companies declined to comment.

Apple tried to get from a competitor of monetary compensation for the borrowing of several solutions of iPhone for smartphone of Galaxy series. In 2012, the company estimated the damage to more than a billion dollars, but in 2013 dropped to 290 million. In 2015, the amount increased to 548 million, and at the moment Apple is counting on a billion dollars. While Samsung insists on a much lesser amount — $ 28 million.

Apple and Samsung are in patent war since 2011, when a U.S. Corporation accused the Korean of copying the iPhone. Samsung, in turn, has filed a number of counterclaims in the several countries. Many of them related to “basic patents”, which the holders must be disseminated comers on equal terms with other licensees.

At the end of 2017, Apple admitted to lowering performance of iPhone with old batteries.
