Russia has won the dispute with Ukraine in the framework of the arbitration court at the world trade organization (WTO) on rail carriages and turnouts. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the Director of the Department of trade negotiations Ministry of economic development Maxim Medvedkov.

A lawsuit initiated by the Ukrainian side in the fall of 2015. Kiev complained that Russia in 2013 unduly restricts the supply to Ukraine of cars, rolling stock, turnouts, and other components.

It was reported that the situation affected Kryukovsky car-building plant, Dnepropetrovsk plant of turnouts, “Azovzagalmash” and the Kharkiv machine-building plant.

Earlier, Russia has already won the victory in the dispute on the introduction of Kiev anti-dumping duties on imports of ammonium nitrate (ammonium nitrate). The trial in this matter lasted from may 2015. The Russian side insisted that Kiev had deliberately understated the market value of gas, which is required for the production of ammonium nitrate in Russia (the so-called “energy adjustments” methodology) to impose anti-dumping duties.
