A five-point system of knowledge assessment of students is outdated and ineffective. This was at a round table “Izvestia” said the head of the Center for monitoring the quality of education of Higher school of Economics, former head rosobrnadzora Victor Bolotov.
The expert called a five point system yesterday and noted that for her makeover you need to improve the skills of school teachers.
“We did work on the transition to multi-system. Was a big project for a 12-point system. The school is actually now four-point system — number no one. The teacher puts three plus, four minus. It is necessary to legalize these pros and cons,” — said Bolotov.
He added that to date the possibility of giving up a five-point system is discussed. “Any serious teacher doesn’t want the Troika writing set, and to evaluate the competence of the student. To understand what is enough and what is not” — said the expert.
Bolotov said that in the long term we must work to improve standards of education in the XXI century, which includes the so-called 4 K’s-creativity, critical thinking, cooperation, communication. Bolotov remembered that the may decree of the Russian President envisages the need to enter the top ten countries with best education systems.
