Ankara will not leave unanswered the decision of Washington to impose sanctions against two senior Turkish officials. This statement was made by Turkish foreign Minister, reports Reuters.
It is noted that the Turkish authorities considered the actions of the US hostile. “We urge the U.S. government to abandon this vicious act,” said the Department.
The foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, in turn, wrote on Twitter: “We will not be able to solve common problems, if the US administration does not realize that such methods are impossible to enforce illegal demands”/
1 August the US imposed restrictive measures against the Ministers of justice and internal Affairs of Turkey gül and Abdulhamit Suleyman Soylu for his involvement in the arrest of an American pastor Andrew Brunson.
He was arrested in Turkey in October 2016 on charges of aiding the organization FETÖ, which Ankara calls a terrorist. It has been implicated in the attempted coup in July 2016.
