“Zenit” will hold the match of the third qualifying round of the Europa League against Minsk “Dynamo” at the old stadium “Petrovsky”. About it reports to “Fontanka”.

According to the source, on the main arena of the club “Saint Petersburg”, will be installed big screens on which fans will be able to watch the game. This decision was taken due to the fact that the Union of European football associations (UEFA) has punished “Zenith” the match in an empty stadium. Thus, fans will not be able to attend the game, however, will be able to watch her on “Saint-Petersburg”.

Matches with the “Dinamo” will be held on 9 and 16 August. The first meeting will be held in Minsk, second — in Saint-Petersburg. The winner of the confrontation will be released in round of the playoffs, in case of success, which will play in the group stage of the tournament. In season 2017/2018 Zenit also played in the Europa League and reached the 1/8 finals, where he lost in “RB Leipzig” at the end of two matches.

In may 2017 the club has already endured the game with a new arena “Petrovsky”. So, the meeting of the championship of Russia with “Krasnodar” was postponed due to the poor condition of the field in the arena “St.-Petersburg”.

Football arena on Krestovsky island was put into operation in December 2016. The construction lasted almost 10 years, the total cost of close to 50 billion rubles. At the stadium were held the matches of the confederations Cup and world Cup.
