The damage from corruption in the Ukrainian customs is about 4.8 billion dollars a year (about 130 trillion hryvnia). About it reports Deutsche Welle with reference to the study of the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung. These data were double the amount of loans that Kiev was planning to take in 2018 from the IMF, EU and world Bank.

For the first half of 2018, the budget deficit was of 9.78 billion hryvnia (361 million dollars). As said to “Interfax”, borrowing amounted to 84,15 billion hryvnia (about 3.1 billion) under the plan for the period to 139.3 billion hryvnia ($5.1 billion).
The four-year program of assistance to Ukraine from the International monetary Fund (IMF) provides for the granting of a loan of 17.5 billion dollars. In March 2015, was transferred first tranche in the amount of $ 5 billion, in August of the same year the second tranche of 1.7 billion.
In 2016 and 2017 Ukraine has received one tranche of one billion dollars each. For money Kiev needs to fulfill a number of requirements to strengthen social policy, in particular, we are talking about measures to combat corruption, and reduce the budget deficit. The term of the new transfer of money is not yet defined.
