In the Leningrad region investigators have detained the Deputy commander of a platoon of traffic police on suspicion of kidnapping. This was reported on the website of the regional administration TFR.
According to investigators, three residents of St. Petersburg, including a police officer, pushed a 31-year-old man in the car, tied up, put down the bag and taken to the woods. There they beat him and demanded the return of allegedly stolen property. But the injured man managed to free himself, to escape and contact the police.
Zamkomandira a platoon of traffic police, was detained and subsequently arrested, and two of his accomplices are wanted.
July 16, investigators in the Moscow region opened a criminal case against two employees of the charity Fund, kidnapped a 38-year-old man. The investigation revealed that the mother of the kidnapped turned to the Fund with a request to take her son to treatment. The organization was engaged in rehabilitation of people with addiction.
