Inhabitants of the Nenets Autonomous district, Komi Republic and Karelia Republic are the biggest of Russians use Bank cards when making purchases. To such conclusions came the savings Bank in its study (“Ribbon.ru”).
Nenets Autonomous Okrug is the only region where the share of cashless payments in the total trade turnover exceeded the amount of cash withdrawal is 56.1 percent. The second and the third place — Komi and Karelia — the result was less than 50 percent: 48,81 both republics. The top five also includes Murmansk oblast (48,45%) and Tyumen (48,18) region.

Also, the authors measured the increase of the share of cashless payments for the first half of 2018. Here the best result was shown Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (9.5 percent), followed by Yakutsk (9.4%).
“Over the last ten years in Russia there was a real breakthrough in the use of cashless means of payment. By 2018 the share of expenses of Russians on the cards in the total cost of purchasing goods and services closer to 50 percent,” said the study by the chief economist of Sberbank Mikhail Matovnikov.
According to him, over the last ten years the share of cashless payments in the country increased ten times.
