The first photos of Sentsov after three months of hunger strike

Ukrainian Ombudsman for human rights, Lyudmila Denisova published in Facebook photos Director Oleg Sentsov, who is 88 days on hunger strike in the colony “White bear” in Labytnangi.

Denisov noted that photos she had received from Russian colleagues Tatiana Moskalkova. “According to the information that she gave Oleg an active, walks, watches TV, reads books, writes something from time to time. All, quote, wonder how he’s doing, his condition is satisfactory,” she wrote in her post.

In August 2015 Sentsov was sentenced by a Russian court to 20 years in strict regime on charges of organizing several arsons and attacks in the Crimea and Simferopol. His guilt he did not recognize, and in mid-may announced a hunger strike demanding to be released from Russian colonies of Ukrainian political prisoners, which he himself relates, in spite of Russian citizenship — Sentsov lived in the Crimea after joining the Peninsula to Russia automatically became a Russian citizen.
