Chelsea announced the transfer of 23-year-old Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, making him the most expensive player in the world at his position. The deal reported on the official website of Londoners.

“This is an important decision for me, for my career and life,” said the player himself. Arrizabalaga signed with the club a contract for seven years.

On 8 August it became known that Chelsea will pay for 23-year-old goalkeeper Athletic Bilbao 80 million euros. The London club activated a clause in the contract of the football player on redemption. On the same day the Spaniard arrived in England to undergo medical examination and signing of the contract.

On 20 July the English “Liverpool” has acquired from Roma’s Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker. The player has cost the Reds in 75 million euros: at the time this was a record amount for a goalkeeper.

Last season Arrizabalaga played 30 matches in the “Athletics” from Bilbao. The Spaniard is a champion of Europe among players under 19 years.
