Funds to pay off debt “of the Khrunichev Centre” will provide the state that will allow the manufacturer of rocket “proton” and “Angara” to avoid bankruptcy and keep the land in the floodplain Fili (Moscow), reports TASS statement of the head of the Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin.
“We expect that the principled decisions of the President, the funds for repayment of debt on loans that have been recruited over the years will help us in this matter by the government. With regard to penalties and fines, it is also ready to wait for getting these penalties, not necessarily to get them in the next months and maybe even years,” the official said.
“Khrunichev center” is considered to be the most problematic enterprise of the Russian space industry. The company, according to reporting losses since 2007. About the financial problems Moscow plant said at the end of 2013.
In 2014, the “Center Khrunichev” granted credit funds in the amount of 65 billion rubles, the annual payments for which reach 4.5 billion rubles. In January of 2018 the company due to the reduction in orders and failures of carriers, and a large credit load required financial support of the government in the amount of 30 billion rubles. In April 2018, the Supervisory Board of “Rosatom” has allowed to increase the limit on loans to center for 10 billion rubles.
Rogozin, in the position of the head of “Roskosmos”, has encouraged companies of the state Corporation to find a use for the rocket “Angara”, and also announced a major reorientation of space programs at the “Center Khrunichev”.
In particular, in June, the official confirmed plans to end production of carriers “the proton” in favor of the family of rockets “Angara”. The replacement of Soviet heavy missiles in Russian threatens to increase the cost of 2.5 times.
