The Belarusian athlete Olga Mazuranic became the first in the marathon at the European Championships in athletics, despite the bleeding. About it the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.
Mazuranic overcome marathon in 2 hours 26 minutes 22 seconds. Half an hour after the start of the race, 29-year-old athlete began a nosebleed. She needed to use a damp towel.
Second place went to Frenchwoman Clemence Calvin, losing Mazuranic just six seconds. Third place went to Czech athlete Eva Vrabcova-Nyvltova.
European Championships in athletics held in Berlin from 9 to 12 August.
