The US President Donald trump called for a boycott of American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson due to the fact that the company wants to move production out of the country. The head of state said on his Twitter page.

According to him, many owners of Harley-Davidson motorcycles are planning to boycott the company if its production moves abroad. “Excellent! Most other companies coming to us, including competitors of Harley. This is a really bad move! In the United States will soon equal terms or even better,” trump wrote.

Earlier, the us leader wrote that the decision will be for the manufacturer the beginning of the end.

That Harley-Davidson is preparing to move part of the production outside the country because of EU duties imposed in response to the actions of the White house, was reported in late July. Later it became known that the authorities of the Ulyanovsk region intend to offer the company to move production in your region.

On 22 June, the European Commission imposed an additional 25-percent import duties on some American goods, including jeans and motorcycles, in response to duties of the Washington steel and aluminium from the European Union, Canada and Mexico.

In February 2017, the trump called the company “a symbol of the new spirit of America.” However, in January of 2018, she was forced to close the plant in Kansas city, laying off 800 employees because of the US withdrawal from the TRANS-Pacific partnership.
