Watch brand Swatch released a collection with the Amsterdam Museum and the Rijksmuseum. About it “lente.ru” has informed the representative a press-services of the brand.
The design lines of the three models worked as designer, artist and cartoonist Christian Botslap (Christian Borstlap). The design of the formed work from the Museum’s collection, including the painting “the Fall” (1592) by the Dutch artist Cornelis Cornelissen of (also known as Cornelis Harlem). Botslap have chosen for a clock face picture fragment with the image of eve, holding in his raised hand the fruit of the Tree of knowledge, and replaced the Apple with an image of the smartphone, like eve taking a selfie.
Other models adorn the ornamental fragments of different works from the collection of the Rijksmuseum, including blue-and-white pattern, typical for paintings of traditional Delft pottery. Watch line is available in selected stores and the gift shop of the Museum.
Rijksmuseum (Rijksmuseum) is an art Museum in Amsterdam (the Netherlands). Among the top twenty most visited art museums in the world. Founded in 1800 by the king of Holland, Louis Bonaparte (brother of Emperor Napoleon I) in the Hague. With 1808 is located in Amsterdam, first in the Royal Palace then in the Palace Trippenhuis and other areas. A special Museum building was built in 1877-1885 by architect Peter Kuipers.
