The squad of emergency situations rescued four tourists stranded on top of a mountain AK-Kem (Republic of Altai) 12 Aug. It is reported TASS with reference to the Siberian regional center of EMERCOM of Russia.
A helicopter with rescuers pulled travellers into the Parking lot at the foot of the mountain, after which they will be transported to Gorno-Altaisk. As specified in the emergency center, all climbers feel well.
Earlier, on 12 August, it was reported that four tourists were stuck at a height of 4.1 thousand meters, but was able to communicate with rescuers via satellite phone to report distress. As explained by the chief duty officer of the Siberian regional center of EMERCOM of Russia Colonel Alexander Borovitsky, to evacuate the travelers at once was not possible due to bad weather conditions: in the mountains the wind was strong and it was raining with snow.
