Member of the American Congress, Thomas Massey called for an end to the hysteria around Russia and to divert the attention of the authorities to the problems occurring within the country. About this he wrote in the column edition of RealClear Politics.
“Mainstream media and lost touch with reality politicians and bureaucrats want us to believe that the cold war never ended that talk with the Russians is a crime, and that we all should be afraid of any Russian in the United States,” said a Republican elected from the fourth district of Kentucky.
According to him, the “Russian conspiracy”, which is actively imposed by Democrats after the election trump, don’t care about “normal Americans”. Hard-working citizens, said the Congressman is worried about jobs, paying the bills, and also interested in ensuring that their children lived in the best country.
Massey links the obsession with Russia with the arrest of Russian Maria Butunoi detained on suspicion of “involvement in the conspiracy business in favor of a foreign state on the territory of the United States” in mid-July, as well as accusations of Russian spies allegedly involved in Russia’s intervention in the US presidential election in 2016.
The Congressman also listed the real threat to the United States. According to his beliefs, the danger to the American state is the national debt, the lack of border security and radical Islamic terrorism.
