In early June, 2017 Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism. Later the boycotting countries had submitted their demands for the resumption of relations. One of the requirements of Doha had to withdraw Turkish military base from its territory.
