Real wages Russians fell sharply

Real wages in July 2018 fell sharply compared to the previous month. This is evidenced by the data of Rosstat. Judging by the results of monitoring, fell by 7.3 percent.

Real wages refers to the amount of benefits that people can get for the money paid by employer as wages. The rate for July 2018 rose 8 percent in comparison with July of 2017. Simultaneously, wages lost 7.3 percent compared to the previous month.

In the report of Rosstat has specified the sum of average monthly nominal wages, which reached 42 640 rubles, an increase of 10 percent compared with the 2017 year. The Department also revealed the size of real income per person in July, they amounted to 32 303 of the ruble.

Real disposable income is the amount of income the person minus the obligatory payments, corrected on a consumer price index. By the end of July they increased by 2 percent compared to last year.

In August, Rosstat noted the increase in the average monthly wages of the Russians. In the first half of 2018, the figure rose to 42.5 thousand rubles, which is 11 percent more than the year before. Also, the average salary was eight percent higher than for the whole of 2017, when it barely exceeded 39 thousand rubles.
